We Are the Ground Operator
In addition to arranging your safari and making all the necessary lodge bookings and domestic air arrangements, our company also provides your ground services, such as transport to and from lodges, national park tours, and game drives. We have our own team of guides, cooks, and porters who are dedicated to making your safari impeccable. We also have our own vehicles, which are customized, four-wheel-drive, Toyota Land Cruisers for optimal safety and comfort.
Our Guides
We have a team of the best professional, local guides who accompany you throughout your trip. They are experts of all aspects of the Tanzanian ecosystem and they have the skills and the knowledge to cater to all your needs and ensure that you have the trip of a lifetime. Our guides will be available at all times to answer all your questions while you are on safari, and are even trained in visitors’ safety and first aid.
All of the guides know English, and some even know German, Spanish, or Italian. They are deeply rooted in the Tanzanian community and have connections with the various tribal cultures in the region. Many of them even speak a few of the local dialects. Our friendly guides always receive top wages to recognize their hard work and dedication to providing an unforgettable experience for our guests.
We Offer Complete Customization
We recognize that each and every person is unique and has their own unique interests, some like to ‘rough it’ in the bush of the Serengeti, while others prefer to experience the most luxurious accommodations that feature all the amenities that you would find at home. We are able to completely change itineraries based on your preferences or special requests. Rarely can a packaged itinerary fulfill all the desires and interests of any individual, which is why we help you design your own itinerary appropriate for you and your group. We offer the following unique activities on our trips:
- Sunrise Safaris: We offer early morning (before sunrise) game drives to witness the wildlife in their most active states. They also allow for better photography, less vehicle concentrations, cooler conditions, and in general, more action. We’ll pack a picnic lunch for you to enjoy in the bush so you can continue with your game drive all day.
- Night Game Drives: At night you can view how the diurnal animals prepare themselves the approaching nightfall and see (and hear) the nocturnal animals come alive.
- Balloon Safaris: To see the Serengeti from above, especially during the Wildebeest, is an experience of a lifetime.
- Culture Tours: We offer tours to learn about the several tribal cultures of Tanzania, including the Maasai, Hadzabe, and Chagga. We even feature trips where you can explore the life of the hustling and bustling cities such as Arusha and Dar Es Salaam.

- Dietary Preferences: Just as we recognize the variety of diets of the animals in Tanzania, we acknowledge that many people have diet preferences of their own. So whether you are an omnivore, vegetarian, or even of the vegan persuasion, we will fully accommodate to any dietary requests. (This includes any food allergies.)

A Fully Escorted Safari Experience
In country, Zamba will take care of all your needs from the time you step foot off the airplane till you are ready to depart. We will take care of all arrangements for your trip, including private transfers between all main airports in Tanzania and even domestic flights. Whether you need a bus between any of the major cities or even ferry rides between Dar and Zanzibar, we have you covered. Needless to say, once you arrive in Tanzania we will help guide you every step of the way on your safari to make it the safest, most enjoyable experience you have ever had.
Our Transportation
We recognize the importance of a good vehicle when going on safari, so we make sure that you always have the best transportation on your trip. All transportation during safaris will be in well-maintained, fully-customized 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers, with the following features:

Our staff of trained mechanics services the vehicles before and after each safari to ensure their proper function. The vehicle is even washed regularly during your safari to minimize dust and allow you a clean and comfortable journey throughout the trip.
Safe, Experienced Drivers
All our cars are driven by driver guides known for their safe driving practices, especially for the extreme road conditions that can sometimes be found on safari. All our guides also have cellular communication, to keep in contact with our main office at all times, and can call for assistance in the event there is a problem with the vehicle. In addition, with this phone you can always text your family and friends back home to tell them what a great time you are having!
Emergency Evacuation
Trips with Zamba include optional, but recommended, enrollment in Flying Doctors. The Flying Doctors Service is part of the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) and offers 24/7 Air Ambulance Evacuation Services in the case of any medical emergency throughout Africa. It has a highly qualified medical staff and aircrew, and fleet of aircraft that can be converted into airborne intensive care units, using modern medical equipment. With Flying Doctors, you can rest assure that you are traveling safe in Tanzania. If you decide to participate in this program, we will arrange all the paper work for your enrollment.
Travel Insurance
We encourage all our customers to obtain a comprehensive travel insurance which will cover you in case of trip cancellation or curtailment, airline delays, medical expenses, damage, theft or loss of personal baggage, money and goods, among other eventualities.
